Surgery day

So, today is the big day. Today is the day my friend, Samantha, has a double mastectomy. She turned 39 on Sunday. Not such a great birthday present, in my way of thinking.

This is a picture of Samantha. Isn't she pretty? Her hair is a lovely shade of red, not too bright, and she has that creamy skin of a red head too. Her hair is about 4 or 5 inches longer right now and she is planning to shave her head before starting her chemo treatments so she can donate her hair to Locks of Love. Isn't that great?

Any extra prayers you can muster today for Sam and her family would be greatly appreciated. She is really scared for what today will bring so I am hoping we can bring her some peace thru prayers.
