Hail Storm in the Desert

For the past 2 days we've been having a great rain storm. It's been really amazing with the thunder, lightening and even hail. We don't normally get storms like this very often, so we have to enjoy it when they do hit. Our area got almost 2 inches of rain, so that is really a lot for us. Unfortunately, there was a lot of damage with this storm and today there were even tornado's reported up in the high country.

It's pretty rare when we get hail in a storm, but to have golf ball sized hail is really unheard of. Some places it looked like snow!




Lots of trees down all over the place. We were lucky not to have much damage at our house at all, but a few people I know had windows broken and I am sure lots of roof damage too.




Have quite a few friends that had their windshields broken on their cars from the hail




While more storms rolled in thru the night and were expected again today, at least there were plenty of rainbows
