Ouch!

Sorry if this is a little gross, but you all know what road rash is, right? Well, that's the best way to explain what Ron did to himself the other day. This isn't a picture of Ron because he wouldn't let me take the pic. I don't think he wanted any evidence! But this is pretty close to what his tummy looks like!

Ron was happily grinding away in his garage on Friday on his car project. He spends HOURS out there grinding and welding, welding and grinding. He is very good about wearing protective gear too. But Friday he had a bit of a mishap. The grinder hit an edge and caught his t shirt, pulled the t shirt up and went after his tummy! Took a few layers of skin off in the process and is extremely painful.

Luckily, we have a resident ER nurse and she got him straight into the shower and then doctored him up. Unfortuantely, it still got infected and he had to get some antibiotics yesterday. And you know why it got infected? They have determined he is resistant to Neosporin now. Doesn't do him a bit of good. So, no more Neosporin for him.

And I am going out and getting him a leather apron to wear now too!
