Aaron was home for two and a half days! It was so nice to have him home, even for such a short time.
The FAA has a program where air traffic controllers can fly in the cockpit of planes to give both the pilot and the controller a different perspective of each other's job. He actually got paid to do this too! So, he flew out on Wednesday morning and I picked him up at the airport around noon. He had to leave early this morning as today is the first day of his work week, but he actually doesn't have to go into work until tomorrow.
Aaron loved the experience and expects he will do it more often. He can do it twice a year and just has to have it approved thru work. Only down side he didn't like was that he had to wear a suit and tie and also had to be clean shaven. Small sacrifice for a free trip home in my opinion.
Aaron got to meet Brenna's guy, Adam, and they hit it off too. That's a good thing. But the best part? Aaron told us he was ready to come back to Phoenix. The grass isn't always greener! He likes Boise, but really misses home and being around family. That is music to my ears! It will be 2-3 years before he can transfer again, but just knowing he will be coming home is okay with me!

Yay!! That is awesome news. I'm glad you got to have a visit, and that here in a couple of years you'll get to have them with much more regularity!
