Pit Bulls Should be Outlawed

I would like you to meet Winston. Well, that's not really Winston but that is what he looks like. Or at least that is what he used to look like. Winston is my Mom's next door neighbor and he is so little is comes visiting thru the gate/fence a lot, so we have gotten to know him very well.



Last week Winston and his Mommy and Daddy were looking at a home they were thinking about purchasing. All of a sudden a pit bull came leaping over the fence and attacked Winston. The pit bulls' owner also came leaping over the fence after him but it was a real struggle to get Winston out of the jaws of this monster. They even threw the dog in the pool hoping that would help but it didn't.

Poor Winston has been in the hospital ever since and he still isn't out of the woods. They wanted to wait as long as possible to do surgery on him but yesterday they couldn't wait any longer. A lung had been punctured and now Winston has pneumonia on top of all his other injuries. Please say a prayer for poor little Winston.

The pit bull was taken away by the animal control and is in quarantine for now. The owner says he will be putting the dog down but I don't understand why they don't just put it down now. I really do think the breed should be outlawed.
