Where has the time gone?

Can't believe it's been so long since I've posted! What a slacker . . .

Good:

Weather is finally starting to cool off! Don't get me wrong, it's still plenty hot with highs in the low 100's but we've had a few days only in the 90's and at night you can feel the change. Another 3 or 4 weeks and we will have survived another blistering summer

Better:

Life seems to finally be settling for Brenna. She has had such a horrible couple of years between health issues, her hand injury and the job situation. But things are looking up! Her hand is better every day and she was finally cleared to go back to work! She will never be 100% and she still has a couple of months worth of physical therapy ahead of her, but it's so much better.

And she got a job! And it's her dream job! She was hired at Phoenix Children's Hospital to work in the ER on day shift, no less. It gets better too. The insurance they have is the same we have thru Intel so she won't have to change any of her doctors or anything! This is such a major blessing with the health issues she has had. But even her health issues seem to be finally under control. They have her meds finally figured out and because of that she is actually starting to loose some of the weight she had put on. 25 lbs since June is nothing to sneeze at.

And she has a fabulous new guy! Adam just treats her like a queen and she is so happy. What more can a Mom ask for? Seeing my daughter this happy just brings tears to my eyes sometimes.

Best:

The crap at work for Ron has been taken care of and he is quite happy. Not totally happy how it was all handled in the end, but it's over with and he can move on. He also got rid of a crappy engineer that caused a lot of trouble, so hopefully things will start to smooth out again. And of course he is counting the days until he starts his sabbitical. I think it's down to 38 days, so it's right around the corner. And Ron treats me like a queen too. I seem to fall more in love with him every day, even if we have been married for a long time. I know how lucky I am and count my blessings every day.
